Who I am

Adamtemedia is a freelance video production business based in Macclesfield, Cheshire, UK, run by Adam. I am the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact me about anything in this policy at adamtemedia@gmail.com.

What I collect

When you use the contact form or the retainer application form, I collect:

• your name and email address
• your phone number, if you choose to give it
• your company or brand name and website, if given
• project details such as project type, location, dates, duration, budget range and your message

If you email or call me directly, I'll also hold that correspondence.

Why I use it

I use your details only to reply to your enquiry, discuss your project, prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, deliver the work. The lawful basis is your request to be contacted and taking steps before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), plus my legitimate interest in running the business. I won't send you marketing emails.

Who I share it with

I never sell or rent your personal data. Enquiries are stored securely with the website's hosting and database provider and delivered to my inbox through an email delivery service. These providers process data only on my behalf. Some may store data outside the UK, in which case appropriate safeguards (such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses) apply.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted within 24 months of our last contact. If you become a client, I keep project and invoice records for up to 6 years to meet UK tax and accounting requirements.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• access the personal data I hold about you
• have inaccurate data corrected
• have your data deleted
• restrict or object to how I use it
• receive a copy of your data in a portable format

Cookies and analytics

The site only uses what's needed for it to work, plus a small record of your cookie choice stored in your browser. Analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics, used to see how visitors use the site) are only loaded if you click "Accept" on the cookie notice. You can change your mind at any time.

Security

The website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection and enquiries are stored in access-controlled systems.
